DM Dean Custom Homes was founded by Mark and his wife Darlene in 2005. Their Son, Blake, recently had his soccer jersey retired at Lemon Bay High School and was accepted to Florida Atlantic University for academics and soccer. This is a true family business as Marks parents, Bob & Ann Marie Dean, actively participate in the business through their guidance and frequent visits from Michigan. Mark & Darlene are fanatical with their attention to detail and proud of the service they offer to their customers. Mark can typically be found on site or at the model centers throughout the week.

Do you have homes available for immediate occupancy?
We have a list of homes for sale in South Gulf Cove and surrounding areas. Homes currently under construction can be found on our home page. These homes are typically sold far before completion and choosing this option will certainly reduce the time for a complete build and put you into your new home faster!
We don’t own a lot, is there someone to help us?
Yes, we have licensed real estate professionals in our model homes that can assist you with finding the perfect lot. We’ll help you navigate thru pitfalls like; power availability, elevation, flood zones, swales, etc… If you already own property locally, our pro’s can help you sell it and do their best to coordinate the sale with moving into your new home. We can also provide rental assistance if needed.
Is there additional cost to build within the city limits of Punta Gorda?
Yes, the deed restrictions in Punta Gorda require landscape, roof and structural upgrades that will add to the cost, our sales associates will be able to give you greater detail.
Can I add a pool to any model?
All models include a standard pool package. Upgrades are available for an added cost.

Do you have financing options available?
DM Dean Custom Homes has full cooperation with its preferred lenders, all of whom have extensive experience with our homes, competitive rates and several programs, one of which is sure to meet your needs. A Construction-To-Perm Loan is a real estate loan which initially finances building costs. The funds are disbursed in accordance with a pre-arranged plan (draw schedule). Upon completion of construction, the loan will convert to a permanent conventional loan. Please contact us for financing questions and help.
When do I choose my color and options for my new home?
All of your 'structural' options are selected at the time of writing the contract. We custom design each and every home we build. Before we break ground on your new DM Dean Custom Home, you'll meet with one of our representatives to make your color selections, at which time you will have the opportunity to add additional 'non-structural' options.
How will I know the status of my new home during the construction process?
DM Dean Custom Homes is always in communication with their customers. We will e-mail you pictures throughout the process at each stage of completion. Your answers are always a phone call away.
We still live out of the area, is it typically to build a home remotely?
Yes, 75% of the homes we build are for out of state customers. You’ll need to plan 2 or 3 trips down throughout the process for selections and walk thru’s. We’re used to building this way and will keep you up to date.
